Become a micro-financier tonight. I mean it.

The best thing that anyone can do is get involved with kiva.org -- it is simply one human entrepreneur helping another human entrepreneur.

"Make a small loan - make a big difference." -- is the kiva.org tag line.

I invested an initial $400 into 6 businesses in developing/emerging countries. Now, because of the repayments (with modest interest); I now support 11 entrpreneurs. I received another repayment today ($35) and I will roll that into entrepreneur #12 with a simple $25 to fund another dream of a real person.

It does not get more meaningful than that - putting real dollars to work with people who repay with eagerness and a smile.

Find out yourself -- just give -- it all comes back to you (besides the money).

Cheers!

I totally agree, MrSting! I remember a story of a girl who changed her mind about committing suicide, after she spoke to someone via the internet. (Although the reverse can also happen - suicide after an IM!)

I shall check out Alan's recommendation of Kiva.org!

Dawn-All Things Legal Investigations

Sometimes the things we do our small, they are things no one will ever know about but do them anyway. Sometime they are things we do for our friends or family and we are really to busy but do them anyway. Sometimes they are things we do in our business that we may get nothing in return for but do them anyway. I try to ask myself all the time what can I do for someone else and sometime I find myself doing something that feels so good when I least expected it. This week it was three different unplanned unexpected things. I won't tell you what they are because that is not the point but for me I knew I was helping and it felt good. In the end it helps me.
