This really is a recipe post. I have a snack, and I named it "Disaster"
1 bag of unsweetened unsalted puffed red wheat
Shredded sweetened coconut
mini chocolate chips
Poor bag of puffed wheat evenly in to 2 medium cake pans. No oil, or anti stick of any kind
Spread nuts, coconut and raisins evenly over wheat
Unwrap 50 to 60 cubes of the caramel, and add about 2 tbsps of water in separate bowl.
Microwave bowel 30 seconds at a time, stirring between each time, till liquid.
Poor caremel evenly over mixture in cakepan
Stir mixture as thourouly has possible
Bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes
Remove from oven and poor about half bag of chocolate chips over mixture in each bowl
Stir well while still warm, chocolate should melt pretty good.
Heat for 10 more minutes in oven. Remove, stir thoroughly.
Allow to cool, then break out of pan in to another container.
All done. Pretty sweet. You can lower the richness by mixing in more plain puffed wheat if you like.
I love it, but that is just me. Not recommended for diabetics.
