Insensitve attorneys

Most attorneys are in the profession because they want to help people.  Along the way though, they can become jaded.  People don't tend to like attorneys, and never like the expensive of having to hire an attorney.  Don't think attorneys aren't aware of this, because they are.

If you have an attorney that seems insensitive, try thinking about the situation from his point of view.  If he sees that you sincerely value his help, he will be more likley to sincerely  want to help you.

If your attorney is just a jerk, then consider hiring a different attorney.  There are a lot of great ones out there.  I would even be happy to referr you.

Just be sure that you are being nice to your attorney.  If not, don't be surprised when they aren't nice to you. 

Attorneys deal with unhappy people every day.  Just like you, they need a pat on the back every once in a while.  Despite popular opinion "Attorneys are people too"

I have created another page for helping my clients with issues regarding child custody.  I hope this page will also be a resource for those that are in other areas. 

How to get custody of your child

The site listed above includes advice. It also has a list of attorneys that specialize in this type of case.  There is a pretty good list of books there as well that pertain specifically to getting custody of your child. This is a work in progress.  I do think it is a good start.  Check it out, and let me know what you think.

Do attorneys utilize investigators as much as they could?

Portland, Oregon Private Investigator Dawn R. Krantz-Watts asks if attorney utilize private investigators as much as they should.  Her opinion in a nutshell, is that they don't.  That if they did, the attorneys clients would benefit.
