Sting Investigations - Private Investigative Issues

Fictional account

I am thinking about writing a fiction book, about my real life career.  Here is something I wrote very quickly.  The idea for the book is to tell it from 1st person perspective, by each character in the book.  Read this sample, and tell me what you think.

Chapter 1 - Susan, or is it?

Hello.  My name is Susan, except that it isn't.  You see, I am afraid for anyone to know my real name.  I am embarrassed, scared and confused.  I have always felt controlled in my life.  I am a generally happy person with an attractive and successful husband.  I have 3 children.  2 boys and a girl.  My oldest is in college.  I am the envy of all my friends, and I have lots of friends. 

 

I am embarrassed, scared, and confused because my life is a lie.  I didn't realize it until last week.  I had suspicions before then, but I chose to ignore them.  Last week my husbands cell phone made an unusual sound.  My husband was in the shower at the time getting ready for a fundraiser we were about to attend.  I didn't really mean to, but I picked up my husbands phone to look at it.  There was a message on the screen.  I nearly collapsed when I saw what it said.

Very busy

We are getting very busy.  Lots of cheating spouse cases, and child custody as well.  I am tired, as often happens when I get busy.  Happy though.  Always happiest when I am working.  I love my job.  I love having the oppurtunity to help others.

What ever your job is, I hope you are happy.  If not, think about a new job.  We get one go at this life, we just as well enjoy it. 

Sorry not posting as much

I appologize if I have not been posting as much.  Sometimes I am not sure I have anything to say.  I kind of feel like I am away from my friends, though when I don't post.  So I guess I miss you, when I don't post.  Probably doesn't make much sense.  I am pretty tired.  Had a couple of late nights out on the job.  Starting to get pretty busy. 

I will try and post more in the future.  I hope you will continue to read when I do post. If you would like to get these directly in your e-mail, you can sign up for that to the right of this screen.

Everything is circular

I know a lot of people are worried about the economy.  That is understandable.  I hope though that people will remember that the economy has been down before.  The economy was worse than people realized earlier than people realized.  I am not an expert on the economy.  I am an observer of life and of patterns.  I honestly believe that we are about done with this downturn.  I think we are better than most realize, because the upswing is just around the corner.  Keep your chin up.  Hold on.  Be positive.  We will all make it.  We will be better off for the trial.

Christmas day

Well it is Christmas day.  As you may notice I am up at 7:30 am, even on this fine holiday.  Tis the life of a private investigator, to work when needed.  Not complaining mind you.  I love to work.  Best Christmas gift I could get, the gift of helping others.  I hope all goes to plan to day.  If so, it will be a great Christmas for my clients.

Client or not, I hope you have a great Christmas day.  Even if it is not a holiday you celebrate, I hope it is a great day for you. 

New Year around the corner.  Find myself filled with hope. 

Main purpose of this blog

The main reason I have this blog is to share information that I think will be useful or interesting to clients, potential clients, private investigators, others interested in private investigations, or anyone that could benefit from what I have to say.

I hope that people that read the blog will be able to tell the type of person I am.  If so, I hope they will subscribe to the blog. 

I don't always no what to write about.  I do enjoy sharing very much.  A personality test I took one time suggested that I would be a good teacher.  Interestingly enough the next 2 suggestions it gave was for US Marshall, or fire fighter.  The test pointed out that it thought I needed to be a in a profession where I could help and or guide people when they needed it most.  Private investigator was also on the list.  I think it was #17.  I do feel that my profession allows me to help people.  I hope that my blog also helps people, in one form or another. 

As stated in a prior post, I am committed to posting every day.  I can't always guarantee the posts will be great.  I will try though.  I only hope that I have helped, or will help my readers in some way.
