I just wanted to make you aware of a trend.
Attorneys use process servers on a regular basis to serve legal papers. When their clients need an investigator, the attorney may charge you for an investigator then use their process server. The process server may or may not be licensed as an investigator. Even if they are licensed as an investigator, they are not likely to be as good as someone that does investigations full time. Espescially in cases where surveillance is what you need.
So why do many attorneys do it then?
The answer is that they can mark the services of the process server up, and make a tidy profit.
What ever state you are in, my advice is hire your own investigator. Do your research, and get the best. Process servers provide a valuable service. That does not mean that you want them, when you really need a private investigator.
On surveillance you get one chance. Once someone thinks they are being watched, they will alter their behaviour. Start with the best, and get the best results.
Don't send a process server to do an investigators job.
